Exploring Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, on the Big Island of Hawaii, is like stepping foot on another planet. Because the trail passes through federal, state and privately owned lands, the National Park Service is working with multiple entities to develop management and maintenance plans with an ultimate goal of offering public access to the full length of the trail.
